  • Creating and Managing Pages
With Webvanta, you create pages using the content management system (CMS). There are three aspects of each page: the page settings, such as the URL, title, keywords, and description; the template to be used; and one or more editable regions, which are the content containers that are placed on the page
  • Using Templates to Define Page Structure
A template is an HTML file with a little bit of special Webvanta code embedded in it to access the database and provide other special functions. You can have as many templates as you want, but you only need a single template if all of the pages of the site follow the same design.
  • Using JavaScript
JavaScript is an essential tool for making your web pages interactive. In most cases, it is the primary language for client-side scripting — that is, all the site-specific code that runs in the browser.
  • Using Regions for Page-Specific Content
To take full advantage of the content management system, all content that may be edited in the future should be placed in editable regions. Content in editable regions can be edited “in place” on the site, so any content that a non-technical user may need to modify should go in an editable region.
  • Using Snippets
A snippet is a reusable block of text or code. You can create as many as you’d like and reference them by name in your layouts and pods. Snippets can include HTML, JavaScript, and Textile code.
