Styles and descendent rules in the RTE

Is there a way to get the RTE to recognise descendent styles?? I.e. if i want h1 be styled differently on different pages, can this be replicated in the RTE?
The solution suggested here: http://support.webvanta.com/support_article/615787-customizing-the-... doesn't get around that problem.

Unfortunately not. The RTE knows nothing about the context of the block it is editing. We generally set it up with basic styles and advise people not to expect it to be an exact match to the final presentation.
